Coltan
At C&J Copley, we are committed to providing an ethical and secure supply of coltan from Sierra Leone while meeting the highest industry standards.

What makes us unique
Our team of American and Sierra Leonean nationals can supply you with conflict-free, ethically sourced coltan.
Rigorous Testing & Chain of Custody
On-site screening, analysis with the Geological Survey Laboratory at the National Minerals Agency, and third-party testing with Alex Stewart International, ensure accuracy and documentation of quality.
Every step of our weighing, sampling, and export process is observed and documented by Stewart Inter Sea.
Security & Transparency
Security is paramount and custody is documented throughout the journey from the day that we weigh, sample, and seal your order, through port clearance in Freetown, until the container is loaded at Water Quay.
Our shipments are insured CIF for 110% by Tokio Marine HCC. All shipping costs and Sierra Leonean taxes, duties, and port clearance fees are included in our prices, which are pegged to market rates per Asian Metal.
Documented RMI Supply Chain
From mine to port, we control every step of the process to guarantee quality and traceability. Do you require compliance with Responsible Minerals Initiative standards? We can provide the documentation required for your RMAP audit.

A Proven Track Record of Growth
Our story is defined by patience, resilience, and long-term planning. In 2024 we were dedicated to laying the groundwork of compliance, rigorous testing of our processes, and networking. Trial sales were used to develop our processing capabilities, including making local connections with ASM communities and setting up a team with the necessary equipment. In 2025 we pursued new supply routes and greatly expanded our export capacity. We have laid a strong foundation for consistent supply and regular exports.
- 2024 export volume: 5 tons
